Site Preparation and Bulk Earth Works for the Macquarie Point Multipurpose Stadium (MPMS)

As part of Stage 1 works to prepare Macquarie Point for development, contaminated soil will be removed from the central area of the site. This work is a critical enabling activity required before a Main Works Contractor can be engaged for construction of the Multipurpose Stadium.

The soil is anticipated to be predominantly low-level (Category 2) contaminated material, although some areas may require additional remediation. Approximately 73,695m³ of contaminated soil will be excavated and transported to licensed waste management facilities for treatment and disposal over an estimated eight-month period.

Upon completion of the works, site validation reports will be prepared and submitted to the Environmental Auditor to seek regulatory sign-off, confirming the site is suitable for its intended future use.
